Gingerscraps Survivor Challenge for week 2 was to scrap a scenic/landscape photo. There were some other rules that I won’t bore you with, but I was glad the challenge would help me scrap some old photos.
As soon as I read the challenge, I knew which pictures I wanted to use.
In the summer of 2010 we visited my husbands grandparents in Nebraska. They were celebrating 60 years together, so their kids thought it would be nice to have as many family members get together to celebrate.
So, my husband and his uncle decided we could travel together. I don’t think his uncle knew what he was getting himself into as we had a 3 month old baby who insisted on eating every 2 hours. It made for long travel days.
Anyway, after our trip to Nebraska, we decided we’d head home the ‘back’ way and hit South Dakota (Mount Rushmore) on the way home. In South Dakota, however, are also the Badlands. They are amazing. It can get a little scary for someone with a fear of heights, but I did my best and we got some beautiful photos.
We don’t get the results of this week’s challenge until late tonight or tomorrow. Either way, another page is done!
